Novel nano carbons, tubes having amorphous wall, were prepared and their properties were evaluated. Vapor phase reaction of fluoropolymer and iron salt gave black powdery material which is shown to be nano carbon tubes having amorphous wall structure by TEM observation and XRD. Volumetric measurement of hydrogen absorption to the amorphous nano carbon tubes gave promising results.
