Raman spectra of C60 and C70 encapsulated in single-wall carbon nanotubes (so called peapods) were measured at different excitation wavelengths in the range 458 - 568 nm. We present the resonance excitation profiles for some intense high-frequency peaks of C60 and C70 normalized to the scattering intensity of CaF2. With some minor differences they resemble the corresponding optical absorption profiles of C60 and C70. The results are discussed in terms of the electronic structure of the fullerenes and compared to their optical spectra in the solid state and solutions.
