I will briefly review the electrical transport properties of individual single-wall carbon nanotubes on multiple nanofabricated metal contacts. First measurements on kinked nanotubes will be presented [1]. Such kinks act as nanontube junctions. Both metal-semiconductor and metal-metal junctions have been studied. The metal-semiconductor kink junctions show diode-like current-voltage characteristics. The metal-metal junctions show power-law transport characteristics that are consistent with end-to-end tunneling for a Luttinger liquid.
