General Travel Information

East Lansing is a college town, adjacent to Lansing, the capital of Michigan. It is located nearly 150 km west of Detroit, from where it can be reached by car by traveling along the I-96 freeway. Still, the easiest venue is by air. Lansing Capital City Airport (airport code LAN) is served by the following airlines:

American (via Chicago/O'Hare)
United (via Chicago/O'Hare)
American TransAir (via Chicago/Midway)
Northwest (via Detroit/Metropolitan)
Delta (via Cincinnatti)
Continental (via Cleveland)
U.S. Air (via Pittsburgh)

East Lansing Marriott Hotel and Ramada Inn will provide free shuttle transportation from the airport upon request (the hotel can be contacted directly by phone from the baggage claim area: Marriott is #17, Ramada is #3).

CHOICE OF AIR CARRIER: Due to new regulations, foreign attendees who expect a reimbursement of their air fare are required to use a United States Air Carrier for their travel.
