Experimental Evidence for Superconductivity through Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
David Tomanek
Apparently the first observation of superconductivity in carbon nanotubes
has been published in the May 28, 1999 issue of Science Magazine:
A. Yu. Kasumov et al., "Supercurrents through Single-Walled
Carbon Nanotubes", Science 284, 1508 (1999).
Superconductivity in this system is apparently induced by the proximity of the tube(s) to superconducting electrodes. The critical temperature of this system lies below 1 K.
