Discussion Topic Posted for the NANOTUBE-99 Workshop:

There is an emerging discussion topic regarding the relative merits of arc discharge and laser vaporization. Alternative techniques are being developed or discussed: solid state formation, wet synthesis.

The relative merits should be discussed reagrding not only the net yield, but also purity, necessity of post-production purification (that may leave a residue), monodispersity, multi/single wall nanotubes, nanotubes with different elemental compositions.
