Scope of the Workshop
Tnano20 is a workshop on nanomaterials and nanostructures. As seen in the
program,
contributions will focus on the hottest topics in the field including
carbon and transition metal dichalcogenide nanostructures, unexpected
phenomena associated with Moiré patterns in twisted bilayer graphene,
optical and electronic properties of low-dimensional systems,
superconductivity and magnetism in 2D structures and others.
Some contributions will focus on synthesis, others on characterization,
applications, and theoretical description unveiling the underlying
physical phenomena.
Special emphasis will be placed on an informal character of the workshop
to the degree possible on a virtual platform. Vivid discussions of important
topics are the hallmark of a successful workshop. Participants are encouraged
to voice their agreement or disagreements with reported results and interpretations.
While ideas may be attacked, we must always respect each other, as scientists
and human beings. There is ample time for
discussion
after each presentation. If there is interest in additional discussion of
specific topics, this can be arranged as well during unassigned time slots
in the program (e.g. I04, I21-I23, etc.)
